Federation Internationale de Savate is the world governing body for the sport and the art of Savate. Savate, has a long history and it was in 1985 that FISav was born to unify Savate around the world. This year FISav is celebrating 36 years and has developed into a recognised and respectable federation, with national federations establish in more than 70 countries. FISav, is not only a member of AIMS and GAISF but FISav President Dr Julie Gabriel, with her energy, determination and vision is also an AIMS council member and has taken FISav to new heights.
In the year of the pandemic which had an impact on all aspects of sports FISav has done outstanding work, to engage and encourage their members and athletes and had also played an important part in the success of the United Through Sports World Virtual Youth Festival. The AIMS family wishes FISav a very happy birthday and we are looking forward to a continued cooperation under the presidency of Dr Julie Gabriel.
