AIMS members are geared up and ready for the Annual SportAccord International Federation (IF) Forum 2016 from November 9-11, at the Royal Savoy Hotel in Lausanne.
This will be the 10th edition of an IF Forum, that has over the years been a gathering of great value to international sports federations. The forum has provided an constructive and inspirational platform for international federations to discuss key challenges and gain from the insights of major leaders and stakeholders from sport and the industry. This year will see three days of targeted session under the theme of The Power of Sport to Drive World Health.
This edition will be a historic one with the IOC President Dr Thomas Bach, SportAccord Convention President Francesco Ricci Bitti and Sportaccord President Patrick Baumann opening the IF Forum, showcasing the unity between the IOC and SportAccord and SportAccord Convention.
Stephan Fox, AIMS President and SportAccord Vice President was quoted saying “The IF Forum is a perfect platform for knowledge sharing and meetings between the IFs and umbrella groups. This years one is also important as the IOC Commission meetings are at the same time.“
AIMS members will be in full representation at the forum, including participation on some of the various panels.
