Over 4000 athletes from 56 countries are participating in the 5th edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games in the country’s central Konya province.
This is more than an event, it is a festival of solidarity, diversity. His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal Al Saud who is serving as the head of the union of Arabic national Olympic committees thanked the Turkish people, the Turkish Government, Sports Ministry and the President of Turkey, His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for organising this outstanding sports event.
There will be 12 different venues across Konya. His Excellency, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan opened the event and congratulated all the athletes, wishing them best of luck for their upcoming competitions.
