The Special Olympics Virtual Global Youth Leadership Summit will be held from 20-21st May 2022.

Youth leaders of all abilities from around the world will stand in solidarity towards inclusion, change and non-discrimination. This event is open to everybody and UTS youth leaders will join the sessions to receive training and education. The summit will inspire, enhance activities for social impact, promote an all-inclusive mind-set and encourage a united approach towards social change in communities around the world.

This Virtual Global Youth Leadership Summit will empower young people towards breaking down the barriers that separate us and stand together towards inclusion and equality.

The summit is an important and vital step towards training young people to be innovators, leaders and social change makers. Together with support of adult mentors, attendees from across the globe will stand together to be the change we would like to see in this world.

Whilst the youth engage in these important workshops, adults are also invited to be part of the events and will learn from their global peers how best to engage with the next generation.

The CEO of United Through Sports, Julia Govinden, stated, “United Through Sports is thrilled to be part of this important initiative. Year after year our partnership with the Special Olympics Family grows, and we have much to share and do together towards ensuring there is inclusion of all abilities, in all aspects of life. Now is a time moving beyond the pandemic that we must contribute towards nurturing healthier and happier societies.”

President Stephan Fox will be one of the opening speakers sharing his experiences across the sport sector and UTS will host an exciting and active event during the summit.
