AIMS is looking forward to the IF Forum in Lausanne in November and then Bangkok 2018 where the leaders of sport reconvene for the next SportAccord Convention. All AIMS members and the AIMS Council would like to congratulate the Royal Thai Government and the city of Bangkok!
The AIMS Conference has become an important and unique part of the yearly SportAccord Convention. This year, the theme was the Social Responsibility and Cooperation of Sporting Federations. The AIMS family, under the presidency of SportAccord / GAISF Vice President Stephan Fox welcomed many keynote speakers and presenters. The Conference was opened by SportAccord / GAISF President Patrick Baumann, followed by ARISF President, Raffaele Chiulli. The keynote speakers were Founder and President of Peace and Sport and President of World Olympians Association, Joel Bouzou, President of WADA Sir Craig Reedie, Director of ThinkSport, Anna Hellman, IOC Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer, Pâquerette Zappelli, IWG for Women in Sports, General Secretary, Game Mothibi and Chief of Youth and Sport Section, SHS UNESCO, Alexander Schischlik.
The AIMS president welcomed the IOC president Dr Thomas Bach, thanking him on behalf of the 21 AIMS IFs for the IOC recognition. The IOC president, heartfully welcomed all delegates, congratulating AIMS and all members on their recognition and the cooperation towards common goals. The AIMS Council honoured the IOC president with a special token.
