AIMS would like to take the opportunity to celebrate the continued progress made towards gender equality, and it is something the AIMS family strives to continue doing, on and off the Field of Play.
Sport, without a doubt, is one of the most powerful platforms for promoting equality and inclusion, and empowering athletes in all their diversity. “Practice what you preach” is not just a phrase for the AIMS family. The fearless women of the AIMS, AIMS Council, and Vice-President, are also leading as Presidents in their respective sports.
Since the establishment of AIMS in 2009, strong women have been elected to serve in leading positions, not to fill seats at the table, but to ensure the important contribution where everyone in society can be heard equally and can stand together for empowerment for all.
Let us continue to educate and raise awareness towards inclusion equality and discrimination and let’s forge a better world together.
