As part of an initiative to improve its communication with athletes, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is pleased to publish a message from WADA’s Head of Athlete Engagement, Karine Henrie.
In the message, Karine introduces herself, sets out her commitments to the athlete community, reflects on the accomplishments of 2024 so far, and goes over what is in store for the rest of the year, touching on initiatives related to the Olympics and Paralympics, the Code and International Standard Update Process, and the Athlete Council elections that will take place later in the year.
“Working with athletes, WADA colleagues, and the global anti-doping community to make a difference for athletes is a responsibility that I do not take lightly. To this point, my commitments to the athlete community are to:
- listen to all athletes’ voices as it relates to anti-doping,
- learn from as many athlete experiences as possible; and
- do my best to be a clean sport champion for athletes inside and outside of WADA.”
You can find the full message on WADA website.
A special request to Anti-Doping Organizations worldwide
As WADA has limited direct access to athletes worldwide, we would be grateful if you could forward this message to your respective athlete populations via your communication channels.
