Sport is a powerful platform for the empowerment of woman, girls and gender equality. Gender equality, must be a basic human right, and, a fundamental principle of any recognised sport. Over that last years we have all been part in promoting gender equality for all our athletes and within the international federation rightfully more women have taken active roles in the leadership. We must continue to give greater access, and above all opportunity for everybody to be part and participate in sport.
United Through Sports is an important vehicle to address these challenges and AIMS, the founder of United Through Sports, is a great example of gender equality having 2 female presidents sitting in the council.
Thursday 4th June 2020 4pm we will see some leading women in sports live on Facebook interviewed by UTS CEO Julia Govinden. Let’s be inspired by these outstanding athletes.
