The International Federation of Savate (FISav) has opened the year 2025 with a series of dynamic and successful events, reinforcing the sport’s global reach and growing community.
Two major continental championships kicked off the season:
- The 6th Asian Savate Championship in New Delhi, India
- The African Championship in Dakar, Senegal
Both events attracted strong participation and celebrated technical excellence and continental collaboration.
In celebration of World Savate Day, FISav also hosted the SavatePlus Online Competition, which was well-received by the global community. This initiative formed part of the federation’s tribute to 40 years of FISav, honoring the history and evolution of Savate and Canne de Combat.
In addition, International Opens held in Budapest, Helsinki, Plovdiv, and Tokyo once again drew broad international interest, contributing to the sport’s continued global visibility.
Looking ahead, several key international events are scheduled:
- World Combat Qualifying Tournament and World Combat Championships Junior Finals in Plovdiv, Bulgaria
- World Youth Championships and World Cup in Tashkent, Uzbekistan
- World Canne Cup in Prague, Czech Republic
FISav also invites the global community to two upcoming international summer camps:
- Savate Summer Camp and FISav Arbitrage Seminar

This camp includes the FISav Arbitrage Seminar, offering both theory and practical training for aspiring international officials. Participants may take the official FISav exam. Successful candidates will receive a provisional license and be listed in the 2025 international officials classification, available on the FISav website. - Seaside Summer Camp
