Sport (R)Evolution at IF Forum 2023 in Lausanne

Lausanne, Switzerland – Under the overarching theme of Sport (R)Evolution, leaders from the International Federations (IFs) and global industry experts will gather to explore a selection of topics relating to the changing sporting landscape, at the 17th edition of the SportAccord IF Forum (13–15 November), to be held in the Olympic Capital, Lausanne.

Themes will include how International Federations can combine creative thinking and accelerating technology, how they can develop powerful and coherent brands, and what has driven recent growth, in certain areas, including in women’s sport.

Looking ahead to the IF Forum, Ivo Ferriani, President of SportAccord said:

“I am looking forward to welcoming colleagues from all the International Federations, from the IOC, our guest speakers and our partners to the IF Forum in November.

“In recent years, we have seen how new technologies and innovation have significantly changed the manner in which sport is consumed and altered the overall sporting landscape.

“Having the opportunity to hear first-hand from world-class speakers and panellists on these topics will make for an exciting IF Forum.”

Robert van den Heuvel, Executive Creative Director at Publicis, an award-winning expert and thought leader in brand building, will deliver a keynote on the untapped potential that lies within International Federations, and how to harness the tools in their possession.

Dr. Christian Mueller, Founding Partner, Partners for Sports, will discuss how new technologies can help to monetise and create added value to sport. Dr. Mueller has worked with some of the largest sports organisations worldwide, including: the IOC, NFL, PGA, World Rugby, FIFA and UEFA.

A panel discussion led by Marzena Bogdanowicz, Head of Marketing and Commercial, Women’s Football, at the English Football Association, will look at what drives growth in sport. Marzena will draw on her experience of the contributions leading to the exponential rise, visibility, and commercial value within women’s sport.

On Day 3, the IF Forum will turn its attention to the latest developments in sustainability. After a presentation and a panel session, the IOC in collaboration with SportAccord, will host a series of interactive workshops including presentations from many International Federations.

The IF Forum will be moderated by David Eades, former BBC anchor and journalist.

Marsh, OnePlan, and Sport Event Denmark are confirmed Official Partners of the IF Forum 2023, with Lausanne and the Canton of Vaud as Host City Partners.
