MOU SIGNING OFFICIALLY UNITES UTS AND IFA

On the 16 October 2021 United Through Sports and the International Fistball Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding virtually online formalising a vision towards closer collaboration and confirming mutual goals towards providing sport opportunity to youth around the world.

The MoU defines the core area of focus between the two entities as promotion and development of an active lifestyle, sports, and the Youth Development Movement around the world. The official signing will drive the ongoing relationship towards the UTS World Virtual Youth Festival 2021 where IFA will play an active role in ensuring their youth participation and nominating youth ambassadors to represent IFA as well as technical officials to assist with judging the festival competition finals in November.

UTS President said: “I must congratulate IFA honourary President Karl Weiss for expanding Fistball all over the world and certainly current President Jörn Verleger for his dynamic and modern leadership.”

“Together we are pleased to unite through the power of your sport to bring Fistball to many more youth around the world, to many for who it will be the first time and hopefully not the last. We are excited to continue our collaboration as we have done, over the last years to bring positive opportunities for youth to develop and thrive” said President Fox.

IFA President Jörn Verleger shared his views on the collaboration and said: “We are very glad to deepen the cooperation with United through Sports by signing this Memorandum of Understanding. We have already been working together since 2017 and the common goal to bring youth to sports connects us. We are proud to be part of the United through Sports virtual Festival again this year and are looking forward to the videos of our youth players from all over the world presenting their Fistball skills.”

The signing united UTS President Stephan Fox and IFA President, Jörn Verleger witnessed by UTS CEO Julia Govinden, IFA Secretary General Christoph Oberlehner and the IFA Board.

During this challenging time for the international sport community, many organisations have found ways to adapt and this partnership is a nurturing opportunity for UTS and IFA to work together in solidarity and unity towards the benefit of youth around the world.
