Key speakers lined up for Safe Sport and Sustainable Development focus at IF Forum 2022 in Lausanne

Leading figures from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), International Sports Federations and the global sports movement will be among the speakers at the International Federation (IF) Forum 2022 in Lausanne from 28-29 November 2022.

Under the theme of ‘International Federation Impact – Safe Sport and Sustainable Development’, experts from across the full spectrum of international sport will gather at the Olympic Museum on the banks of Lake Geneva to explore strategies relating to various issues.

On day one, after addresses by IOC President Thomas Bach and Ivo Ferriani, President of SportAccord and GAISF, the opening keynote on human rights will be provided by David Grevemberg CBE, Chief Innovation and Partnerships Officer, Centre for Sport and Human Rights.

On day two, following opening remarks by SportAccord Acting Managing Director Martin Gibbs, a packed agenda of scene setters, panel sessions, Q&As and presentations will offer attendees vital insights into topics such as human rights, safe sport, sustainability and climate action.

Key speakers will include Gymnastics Ethics Foundation Director Alex McLin; Alexandra Rickham, Head of Sustainability, World Sailing; Riikka Rakic, Head of Sustainability, International Biathlon Union; Ashley Ehlert, Deputy General Secretary & Legal Director, International Ice Hockey Federation; Áine Power, Deputy Legal Director, International Equestrian Federation; Rodi Basso, CEO, UIM E1 Series; Kirsty Burrows, Senior Manager Safe Sport Unit, International Olympic Committee Magali Martowicz, Head of Human Rights, IOC; and Julie Duffus, Senior Sustainability Manager, IOC.

There will also be a focus on the importance of the United Nations Sustainability Development Goals in sport, with practical advice for IFs about how to introduce positive steps to boost their long-term outlook.

Registration is open for this year’s edition of the invitation-only IF Forum, which is organised by SportAccord and is supported by the IOC.

The IF Forum 2022 will bring together 300 leaders from more than 125 International Sports Federations, with delegates, speakers, and Partners meeting face-to-face in a relaxed environment to enable first-class networking and knowledge-exchange opportunities.
