“Sport is a reflection of society — when we protect integrity in sport, we protect the values that define humanity.”
The Alliance of Independent Recognised Members of Sport (AIMS) stands firmly by the fundamental principles of the Olympic Movement: integrity, respect, equality, and fair play. These values form the foundation of trust in sport and the moral compass that unites athletes, communities, and nations around the world.
Why Integrity Matters
Integrity is the cornerstone of sport. Without it, competition loses meaning, victory loses honour, and the athlete’s voice loses power. In today’s sporting landscape, issues such as corruption, manipulation, discrimination, and abuse continue to test our collective resolve. AIMS believes that safeguarding integrity requires prevention, education, and leadership by example.
Prevention Before Reaction
Working in close partnership with the IOC, SportAccord, WADA, and the ITA, AIMS places prevention at the heart of its mission – promoting clean sport, transparent governance, and effective safeguarding measures across its member federations. True leadership, as AIMS advocates, is defined not by medals or titles, but by integrity and accountability.
Integrity for All
Integrity must be inclusive. AIMS is committed to ensuring that every athlete, coach, official, and volunteer – regardless of gender, age, ability, or background – can participate in a safe, ethical, and respectful environment. Upholding integrity means ensuring that everyone belongs.
Shared Responsibility
Protecting the credibility of sport is a shared responsibility. Every federation, leader, and athlete contributes to preserving fair play, which remains the highest form of victory.
AIMS will continue to promote integrity and inclusion as inseparable pillars of sport, ensuring that every competition reflects the true Olympic spirit – a celebration of excellence, friendship, and respect.
Integrity is not optional. It is our responsibility, our commitment, and our legacy.
