The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme leads annual campaigns to highlight the role of volunteerism in fostering peace and development. These campaigns emphasize the transformative power of volunteers in advancing social and global progress.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) also joins this global celebration, acknowledging the indispensable role volunteers play in the Olympic Movement. Volunteers are at the heart of the Olympic Games, embodying the spirit of service and dedication.
