In light of the complexities of international travel and in-person gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the forthcoming GAISF General Assembly on 10 November 2020 will be held in a virtual format for the first time ever.

The General Assembly had originally been planned in a hybrid form. Due to the evolving situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, however, GAISF President Raffaele Chiulli and the GAISF Council have decided hosting the General Assembly online would be the best way for the organisation to meet its duty of ensuring the meeting is equally accessible to all members.

During the General Assembly, GAISF will also announce the winners of this year’s GAISF Sustainability Award, shining a spotlight on an array of outstanding sustainability projects within the global sports community.

The General Assembly will consider applications by the Association of Paralympic Sports Organisations and the World Transplant Games Federation to become Associate Members. The International Federation of Teqball’s application for full membership will also be considered.
