With just one month to go until the IF Forum 2025, the international sport community is preparing to gather in Lausanne for a week filled with dialogue, collaboration, and celebration. The Alliance of Independent Recognised Members of Sport (AIMS) looks forward to playing an active role in these important days.
The programme will include the AIMS General Assembly on 27 October, hosted at the Maison du Sport International, bringing together member federations for important discussions, updates, and elections. On 26 October, AIMS will co-host the traditional AIMS–ARISF Welcome Dinner, uniting over 70 international federations in a spirit of friendship and cooperation.
At the heart of AIMS lies its extraordinary diversity. From the power of bodybuilding and powerlifting, to the elegance of savate and kendo, the precision of darts and casting, the strategy of draughts and Go, or the teamwork of dragon boat and fistball – AIMS represents 20 international federations, each showcasing how sport inspires, unites, and empowers communities worldwide.
Over the past year, AIMS has continued to expand partnerships, strengthen integrity measures through collaboration with WADA and ITA, and support youth empowerment initiatives such as United Through Sports. With members excelling on the world stage, from Ju-Jitsu at The World Games in Chengdu to Dragon Boat and Fistball World Championships, AIMS is proud to see its sports and athletes shine.
As we count down the final weeks to the IF Forum, AIMS remains committed to fostering inclusion, safeguarding athletes, and celebrating the unique stories of its members. Together with the wider Olympic family, AIMS looks forward to contributing to a future where every sport, every athlete, and every federation has a place to grow.
