GAISF Vice President and AIMS President was invited for a meeting with Thailand’s new Minister of Tourism and Sports, H.E. Mr. Weerasak Kowsurat. Thailand has been awarded the bid to host the 2018 SportAccord Convention, the world’s premier and most exclusive annual event at the service of sport where over 2000 leaders and important personnel in the world of sport come to meet.
The AIMS President briefed the Minister on all the developments and that the world of sport is looking forward to visiting the Kingdom and experience the uniqueness of Thai hospitality. The AIMS President also discussed the Sport Festival and other activities and the Minister reiterated that Thailand will go above and beyond to ensure an unforgettable convention and memorable sport festival; and that the local organising committee is looking forward to welcoming the SportAccord Convention team for their upcoming 3rd site visit in Bangkok.
