Pere Miro dedicated his life to sport, being part of the IOC for nearly 30 years. He had the trust of 3 IOC presidents, the Distinguished Juan Antonio Samaranch, Jacques Rogge and Thomas Bach.

He was loved and respected by all stakeholders within the Olympic movement and regardless of the seriousness of the discussions his character, trademark smile and kindliness were always felt everywhere.

He stood for the athletes, the vital role of sports towards change and he is a firm believer that a better world through sport is possible and more relevant than ever.

He will retire but no doubt he will continue to play an important part in sport as the senior advisor to the IOC president, Thomas Bach.

The AIMS family says thank you for who and what you are.
