The International Federation of American Football (IFAF) and the International Cheer Union (ICU) are now full members of the International World Games Associations (IWGA).
During a meeting on May 1, 2024, in Esslingen (GER), IWGA Members voted to accept the applications from both federations.
The IFAF and ICU have been members of AIMS and still are associate members joining the ARISF family with IFAF to be a part of the official Olympic Games for the first time in Los Angeles in 2028. ICU is recognized by the IOC as the global authority for cheer in 2021. Flag Football and Cheerleading will be part of the Chengdu 2025 sport program.
The AIMS family extends its congratulations to the both International Federations and is looking forward towards the fruitful cooperation for the betterment of sports.
