The President of SportsAccord Ivo Ferriani and President of AIMS Mr. Stephan Fox had the honour to be in Bahrain to attend the prestigious IPC Awards, which have been given to summer and winter athletes, coaches, international Paralympic members, and volunteers.
The following awards have been presented to:
- Nicole Murray (New Zealand, Para cycling), Best Female Summer Sports
- Simone Barlaam (Italy, Para swimming), Best Male Summer Sports
- Oksana Masters (USA, Para Nordic skiing), Best Female Winter Sports
- Declan Farmer (USA, Para ice hockey), Best Male Winter Sports
- Johannes Aigner and guide Matteo Fleischmann (Austria, Para alpine skiing), Rising Star Award
- Veronika Aigner and guide Elisabeth Aigner (Austria, Para alpine skiing), Breakthrough Award
- U.S. Para ice hockey team, Best Team
- Riccardo Vernole (Italy, Para swimming), Best Coach
- Rebecca Foulsham (New Zealand), Citi Volunteer Award
- Korea Paralympic Committee’s Dream Paralympic Project, Citi Community Impact Award
Further congratulations must go to the IPC and President Andrew Parsons, the National Paralympic Committee of Bahrain under the leadership of HE Shaikh Mohamed bin Duaij Al Khalifa, and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa the president of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.
