Brazil made history in Chengdu by securing both the men’s and women’s gold medals in Fistball at The World Games 2025. This double victory marks a milestone achievement for the nation and a defining moment for the international fistball community.

The women’s team delivered a remarkable performance, overturning a two-set deficit to defeat Switzerland 3:2 in a dramatic final. Saving two match points before completing the comeback, Brazil captured its first-ever women’s gold medal at The World Games. Captain Cecilia Jaques described the triumph as a victory for all aspiring athletes back home, saying, “We never gave up. We played with our hearts, and now we hold gold.”
