Casting sport featured as a demonstration discipline at The World Games 2025 in Chengdu

The World Games 2025 concluded in Chengdu with an impressive display of sporting excellence, diversity, and international cooperation. Among the featured demonstration sports, Casting Sport drew notable attention through its engaging showcase, presented by the International Casting Sport Federation (ICSF).

Although not included in the official competition programme this year, Casting Sport returned to The World Games with a clear objective: to reaffirm its value and relevance within the global multi-sport landscape. Representing the ICSF, a team of 15 athletes and ambassadors from Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, USA, Czech Republic, Japan, Slovakia, Croatia, and host nation China delivered a compelling demonstration of the sport’s technical precision and discipline.

Throughout the Games, the Casting Sport delegation not only performed at a high level but also engaged actively with spectators, local organisers, and fellow international federations. Their presence in Chengdu served to highlight the sport’s accessibility, skill-based nature, and unique appeal.

AIMS acknowledges the dedicated efforts of the ICSF and its athletes, whose participation aligned strongly with the mission of The World Games to celebrate a broad spectrum of sports beyond the Olympic programme. The demonstration reinforced Casting Sport’s global footprint and contributed to the dynamic and inclusive atmosphere that defined Chengdu 2025. As the international sporting community looks ahead to future editions, AIMS supports the ongoing efforts of the ICSF to further develop the sport and explore pathways toward re-inclusion in the official programme.
