As Thomas Bach concludes his 12-year presidency of the International Olympic Committee, the AIMS family joins the global sporting community in extending our heartfelt gratitude for his outstanding leadership and his enduring support of sport in all its forms.

President Bach’s tenure has been marked by integrity, courage, and a deep commitment to the values that define the Olympic Movement—unity, inclusion, peace, and the belief that sport can serve humanity.

For AIMS and its members, his presidency has also been a time of recognition. Under his leadership, the non-Olympic sport family found a stronger voice, greater access, and sincere encouragement. President Bach understood that every sport, regardless of status or scale, plays a meaningful role in shaping communities, inspiring youth, and promoting the Olympic values around the world.

He consistently demonstrated that leadership is not only about governing institutions, but about lifting others. His presence at AIMS events, his messages of support to our federations, and the trust he placed in our mission have left a lasting impression on all of us.
