Francesco Ricci Bitti needs no introduction in the world of sports. As President of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) from 1999 to 2015 and President of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF) since 2013, Mr. Ricci Bitti has left an indelible mark on global sports governance. His leadership of ASOIF, which concludes in 2024, highlights his unwavering dedication to the Olympic Movement.
A former International Olympic Committee (IOC) member (2006–2012), Mr. Ricci Bitti continues to serve on key IOC commissions, including those for Los Angeles 2028, Future Hosts, Marketing, and the Olympic Channel. Additionally, as a member of the Executive Committee and Foundation Board of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), he has been instrumental in safeguarding the integrity of sports worldwide. His role as President of SportAccord further cemented his influence, with AIMS as one of the four key stakeholders of the organization.
Throughout his career, Mr. Ricci Bitti has championed transparency, collaboration, and ethical practices, fundamentally reshaping the landscape of sports governance. Recognized for his exceptional dedication, he stands as a visionary leader whose work has significantly strengthened the foundations of international sport.
