It is with profound sadness that AIMS has learned of the passing of Willie Lemke, who served as the United Nations Advisor for Sport and Development and Peace. Willie Lemke was more than an ambassador; he was a visionary whose dedication to sport, development, and peace initiatives impacted countless lives.

He held an unwavering support for our sports and his recognition of the United Through Sports initiatives, in particular the commitment to inclusion, non-discrimination, and equality, will always be remembered.

The AIMS and UTS Family extends its deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. Willie Lemke’s legacy will continue to live on through the lives he touched and the work that he inspired.
